Not just a game night....
But a game weekend!
We normally have a night that we get together with our neighbors and play the Wii. Jason can usually rent a game from work so we've been busy playin through the games and every once and a while find one we like and decide to buy it when we can get a good deal on one.
Well this weekend turned into a game weekend, for us anyways. Saturday Jason decided to buy Guitar Hero. I've never been a fan of it mostly because I'm just not that coordinated to hit all those notes, so it was going to be a game for Jason. He decided to turn in some of his old PS2 games to put towards it, so I brought those up to his work at the end of his shift and we got it. After deciding on dinner and arriving home Jason started playing. At some point he talked me into trying it out and I got booed of the stage very quickly! It was very sad. I think I only made it about 25% through the song... not good. He took over for that song and then got me to try again on another song. This time it was better.. but still I was booed off. Finally around the maybe the 4th try I made it through a whole song! This was a big accomplishment! I managed to make it through a few songs and Jason was having a blast watching me learn and get better and better. I think I ended up playing his new game a little more than he did that night. But it was fun getting through the songs and switching back and forth based on who liked the song better, hahaha.
Sunday morning I woke up around 6:30 and decided to let Jason sleep. I couldn't help but go and play some more Guitar Hero.. haha. After making it through a few songs I decided I'd wait for Jason.. even though he didn't wake up for another few hours.
We went out to do our running around later Sunday morning and picked up another guitar and the Guitar Hero Aerosmith game. After getting home we played that for a few hours and then moved on to playing some Wow.
Monday was about the same, play a little Wow.. and then play a little Guitar Hero and then back to Wow for a little while. So all the plans and things I thought I may try and get done this weekend didn't seem to really get done, but it was a great weekend and it was great to finally have a weekend where we were able to do whatever we wanted to. It was great. And very nice to relax and get ready for our upcoming busy month of Sept. Before we know it, it'll be Oct and then the holidays will be here! I can't wait! :)
