A weekend in DC

There was another baby shower in DC this past weekend. It was a fairly quick weekend, went down Friday and returned on Sunday. It was a lot of fun... as expected. :) We made really good timing down there on Friday. We got pretty lucky and there wasn't much traffic until the last few miles of the drive. So that wasn't too bad. We were able to make it in a little before dinner time which was nice to be able to relax a bit after driving and then do dinner. We were staying at my Uncles and my cousin (the one the baby shower was for) was able to come up and stay there as well. I was expecting it to be a little more crowded with all of us staying there, but it actually worked out really well.
Saturday morning the guys got up early to go golfing while the ladies lounged around. It was very nice and relaxing. Then we all got ready for the shower and headed over there. It was held at the Hyatt and was very nice. I'll have to post some pics when I finally get them uploaded. The plan was then for everyone to go back to my uncles apartment and go swimming but that plan didn't work out when after everyone got their bathing suites on it started to storm. We waited it out for a little bit, but it continued and soon people started to leave. We tried to go later when it was just barely raining, but according to the life guard you can't go swimming if its raining out... and so there went the swimming for the rest of the night. Oh well!
Sunday we all got to sleep in... well as much as Camden would let us, hehe. And then we enjoyed coffee, juice, donuts and bagels for breakfast while all lounging around celebrating fathers day. It was a great morning. Then it was off to the storage unit where Jason and I got pretty lucky and were able to get a window AC, a microwave, 2 window fans and an area rug! We were pretty happy about that! A few less things to have to buy! Which is always good. :)
Now we're back to the normal week at home. Actually, this week won't be normal... Jason's out of class and will be getting things all cleaned and organized at home so that I can get home and pack up the last bit of things. We're really just down to the everyday type stuff. So it will be a busy week getting ready for this weekend. Only a few more days! YEA!

Moving countdown: 4 days!
