Knowing that we will be in our next apartment for at least 2 years, its a bit easier to decorate and really make it our home and not just a place to live. One problem we had with our current/previous apartments was that by the time we got things unpacked and in a normal routine, we were already a good couple months into our lease and we figured why bother painting or decorating when its all going to change in a few months. Or course as it turned out with our current apartment we managed to stay for 2 years.
So now knowing that we can decorate and make the new place our home, my mind has been spinning with ideas and things I want to do. I've started picking paint colors and deciding how I want it all to be set up. One night as we talked about decorating, Jason told me he wanted a name board or wood letters with our initials. I told him ok, I'll find something or figure something out. Well sure enough, as I was out and about this past weekend I found some.. and on 75% off clearance!

I'm thinking we'll put these on one of the fireplace mantels. I'll have to put a small block of wood on the back of the J to help it stand up, but that won't be too hard.
So yes, out of all the things I should be getting for the new apartment... I choose the lowest priority item to get first, haha. You just can't pass up such a great deal! If only I could find some washers and dryers or rugs on a 75% off sale!!
