All moved!

Well... almost! haha. Now that the new place has hot water, we can move the last few things tonight and tomorrow. :)
This past weekend we had a bunch of my family in town to help us move. We were surprised when my 2 uncles showed up early afternoon on Friday. And not only did they show up early... they were ready to get started! So that's what we did! After 2 trips with the truck, we decided that was enough for Friday and realized we could probably get the rest of our stuff moved the next morning in 1 trip. I was pretty excited about that. So we all sat down (on the floor since chairs were not yet moved) and relaxed. Not too long after that my parents and grandparents arrived. It was great having everyone and finally having the space for everyone. Unfortunately the gas didn't get turned on and so there was no hot water. So Jason and I continued sleeping at the old apartment so we could have some hot water. People had to come to the old place to cycle through showers throughout the weekend, but it wasn't too bad.
We took everyone to Tom's Diner for a great breakfast Sat morning before making another trip to get stuff at the old place. Sure enough we did get everything loaded into the van and truck making that our last trip. After getting all that loaded into the new place, we just hung out. The weather was great and we were able to open all the windows to get a great breeze through the apartment. For dinner we all went to the Spaghetti warehouse. It was great as usual. Sunday morning the guys got a round of golf in before we headed to the Church Brewery for lunch. Then we all said good bye as everyone went on their own way.
It really made for a great weekend. The moving was quick and done early and then the rest of the time we were able to enjoy our company. It was esp great because we finally have a place big enough to accommodate everyone. So now we just need to get everyone else to come and visit... and visit more often! There's no excuses now! haha.
Sunday after everyone left we went and picked out new desks at IKEA and we finally got those put together. Then this weekend we're going to pick up our washer and dryer and things will be all set! Its looking like I'm starting my first project on the new place this weekend. The plan is to start striping and painting the cupboard doors. It shouldn't be too hard... there's only a total of 4.. but they are pretty big. So we'll see how that goes! hehe.
I took plenty of pictures of everything and plan to post them as soon as I get the computer all hooked up again. Which will hopefully be the next few days now that we have nice big desks to use. :)
