Our weekend
As always, the weather is a bit crazy around here. One day its in the 70's and then the next its snowing. Well, it wasn't exactly that drastic this past week... but close enough. Monday we were in the high 60's - possibly even low 70's. It was wonderful! When I headed out to pick Jason up I was in flip flops and a light hoodie with my usual lounge pants (light weight lounge pants). It was great. Then slowly but surely it got colder and colder as the week went on. Friday comes around and all people can talk about is this big storm coming our way. Over night we were suppose to get around 4-6 inches of snow... it was going to be CRAZY! Jason and I laughed it off because for one, we never believe the weather forecast, and for two... we're from Michigan! This would be considered the normal overnight weather in Michigan. I do have to say, it was pretty funny when riding the trolly home around 12:30 on friday and a gentleman sitting behind me recieved a phone call from someone who was going to drive into town that afternoon. He proceded to tell this person about how they shouldn't try and come in because it was currently "raining" (there were probably 2 drips on the window.... and you couldn't even feel it once we walked outside!) and that by that night it was suppose to get really bad (most people's forecasts said the snow was coming overnight - so more like around midnight). I just had to chuckle to myself thinking that this person could easily make it in before this big storm was to hit considering they were coming from Akron, OH.... and from what I could tell would have been leaving a few hours later, so maybe by 2 or 3. That was my laugh of the day.
Saturday morning we woke up to find NOTHING on the ground. We were in such shock!
I took the picture on the left shortly after lunch, lets say around 1. The picture on the right... well that was taken a few hours later, probably around 6 or 7.
This is pretty much how they looked all weekend long... lounging on the couch, or the floor... or sitting all over one of us (well that would be Diego the cat, not Buster the dog!)
