Most often when I go out shopping its because I need something. I tend to make my list and decide ahead of time what I'm getting and where I'm going. I don't really do any "leisure" shopping anymore. I used to do it much more often when we were in MI because I'd go with my mom, but I've yet to convince Jason into just wandering through random stores for no reason, unless its the occasional trip to IKEA. :)
Anyways, since I can't get Jason to go shopping with me I just don't go shopping very often unless we need something. So Tuesday night surprised me when I ended up shopping ALL NIGHT! It started off with a quick run out to the mall to have dinner with Jason. He had to quickly get back to work and I was debating about getting an ice cream or cookie so after walking him back to his work I was going to head back to the food court. On my way I decided to stop in La Gourmet Chef... I LOVE that store! While there I did have something in mind that I wanted/needed, new measuring spoons. I couldn't find the ones I wanted but still wandered through the store to see all the other fun gadgets and food they have. They were having a clearance sale so of course I had to see if there was anything I "needed". I did manage to find something but figured I should see if BBB has it because then I could use one of their 20% off coupons. By the time I was done at La Gourmet Chef I had decided against the cookie or ice cream so I just left the mall.
I then headed over to BBB. I did find the over the cabinet towel bar that I had seen at the last store. It was the same price, but I had my coupon to use, so that was the better deal. I found a few other things just in the kitchen section.... but held off on those items for now. I then wandered into the floral/candle section and found the most beautiful orchids! (Which I am going back for!) Lets just say, I walked through the whole store and in just about every department found at least one thing if not more that I wanted to get. I managed to make it out of the store with only buying the towel holder and my super awesome deal! What was my super awesome deal you ask? Well, on one of their center clearance racks I found a Teflon skillet for 6 bucks! The only reason it was marked down was because it was suppose to be with a set... which was fine with me because I don't want a whole set.. I just needed a new skillet! There were no dents, and no scratches, so even better! I just love the deals you can find at BBB and that they have those 20% off coupons! I've officially used my last one Tuesday night, so I have to wait to go shopping again. I refuse to buy things there unless I have one of those... why pay full price when you can get 20% off? So if you have some laying around that you don't need... send them my way!! :) hehe.
I ended up spending about an hour at BBB! I then headed over to Kohl's and Michael's. Both were already putting up all their fall and Halloween stuff..... and even CHRISTMAS stuff!! Normally I would say OMG... its too soon... but this year, I don't know what is different but I'm really excited about the holidays. I'm ready for them. I've already starting planning and getting ready for them. And soon I'll probably start making my Christmas cards. :) hehe.
Anyways, before I knew it, it was after 9 and so I called Jason to let him know I was still in the area and I could just wait around for him to get off at 10 so he could just ride home with me. I couldn't believe I spent the whole night shopping.. neither could Jason, haha. But I managed to get some good deals and had a fairly relaxing night.
