This past weekend I decided to start stripping the paint off the woodwork in the bedroom and then I was going to repaint it and put a fresh coat of paint on the walls. Everything seemed to take a bit longer than I expected. Part of the problem was that to strip and paint the window sill, I had to take the AC out of the window... which then made it very hot in that room.
Well what was expected to be done by the end of the weekend didn't happen. Then I had high hopes for getting the rest of it done on Monday night until I found out we had plans to go bowling. Then the same high hopes for Tuesday night but that didn't work out either because it was just so darn hot in there! I started but then had to stop after about an hour of painting. I was very frustrated and disappointed because it wasn't suppose to take that long and I was really ready to have my bedroom back. Plus I was so excited after getting the new bedding set that it was driving me nuts that it was taking so long to put it all in there!
I came home Wed dreading having to go in there and finish painting the trim. I had a little hope that maybe Jason would have thought about putting at least a second coat on the one window so that we could put the AC back in there while I finished the rest of the trim, but I didn't really think he would have thought about that.
As I walked towards the back of the house (towards the bedroom) I noticed the bed wasn't in the middle of the room... and the tables were in there and so I went in thinking he was fed up with it all and was going to just put it all back in without the paint getting done, but I walked in to find a nice fresh coat of white paint on all the trim and the doors! I was so shocked! That really made my day! He said it took him most of the day so he didn't get anything on his to-do list done, and I said I don't care about that to-do list right now! I'm just sooo glad I don't have to come in here and paint in this room that's about 90 degrees! He said he knew I was getting fed up with it all and thought he'd just get it done for me. How sweet is that!? Its awesome!
So after doing our running around we put the mattress back in and put the new bedding on and it looked great! The walls are pretty bare so now I just have to find some nice big art or photos to hang on the wall. The room looks soo much better now!
