Spring already??

The weather on Sunday certainly made it feel like sping was already here. The sun was out warming everything up. The temperatures were probably in the high 40's to low 50's. It was a great day to be outside!

So after being cooped up in the apartment all afternoon on Saturday and then all Sunday morning we decided we should venture out into the sun. We decided to take Buster to the dog park to let him get some of his energy out. Knowing that the past week it had rained nearly every day and after the big ice storm on Friday that was now melted, we knew it would be muddy and brought along some towels... but later learned it wasn't really enough!
As you can see, they tried to put down woodchips to help... which it did in some areas, but not in all...
The enterance to the dog park was a complete mud hole! I can't believe we made it through without either falling in it or sinking in mud up to our knees!

Buster had a blast running around with all the other dogs!
Look at how muddy he got!
When it was time to leave the dog park and we finally made it past all the mud, we went for a nice stroll through South Park. What a beautiful day!

When we got back to the car we tried to wipe off the mud with the towels we brought, but there was just to much mud. So poor Buster had to sit in the way back of the car so he didn't get any mud or drool all over my car. Once we got home, Jason and I left our shoes at the door and took Buster straight to the bathroom for a bath.

He was not a happy puppy.... he doesn't seem to like water, haha. During all this, Deigo seemed to enjoy watching from his sink... well until the blow dryer came on, thats when he went running!

So all in all, a quick and fun trip to the dog park ended up taking all afternoon. It was fun, but until the mud dries up a bit, it won't be a regular occurance just yet.
